3 Otis William Porter

Otis William Porter was born on March 23, 1866, in Iowa, son of John Henry Porter and Amelia Scott.  He was the third of seven children.  Otis William Porter died March 24, 1916 in Ripley, Oklahoma.

He married Florence M. Halstead on November 23, 1890, in Gladstone Height, Arkansas City, KS.  She was born August 10, 1868 in Canada, and died August 04, 1952.  She is buried with her husband in Ripley, Oklahoma.

Allie Annis said that her husband Guy Annis worked for her cousin Otis in the “livery barn” in Ripley, Oklahoma, in the spring of 1905.

Otis William Porter died March 24, 1916 in Ripley, Oklahoma.

In the January 20, 1920 Census in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Florence (widowed) is found living with her daughter, Elva Scott (also widowed) and grandson Kenneth Scott.  Their home is on East Oklahoma Avenue (no house number).

In the April 11, 1930 Census in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Florence (widowed) is found living with her daughter, Elva Daum (remarried), her husband John Daum (a building contractor)  and grandson Kenneth. 
Their home is at 1719 East Oklahoma Avenue.
